As truck-mounted concrete pumps become increasingly important in infrastructure and construction projects, safe operation is essential to protect both workers and equipment. Following proper operating procedures can significantly reduce accidents, minimize downtime, and extend machine service life.

Before operation, the pump should be parked on firm, level ground away from slopes, obstacles, and overhead power lines. Stabilizers must be fully deployed to keep the machine balanced, and all lights should function properly. Operators should inspect fuel, hydraulic oil, coolant, tire pressure, pipelines, and safety guards before starting work.

During pumping, hydraulic oil should reach the proper operating temperature, especially in cold weather. Operators should continuously monitor pressure gauges, warning indicators, and machine performance. If abnormal pressure or unusual noise occurs, pumping must stop immediately, and the blockage should be cleared safely before resuming work. The hopper should always contain enough concrete to prevent air from entering the system.

After completing the job, all remaining concrete should be discharged, and the hopper and pipelines thoroughly cleaned. Proper shutdown procedures, hydraulic pressure release, and winter drainage help ensure reliable performance and reduce maintenance costs.
