HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America has launched the 25,221-lb. HW100A wheeled excavator, expanding its lineup between the 12,240-lb. R55W-9A and 46,690-lb. HW210A. Designed for roadwork, utilities, and tight urban sites, the 101-hp HW100A digs to 13 ft. 11 in. and features a 360-degree swing boom, making it ideal for confined spaces.
Agility Meets Power
With a 24-mph top speed and three steering modes—four-wheel round (tight turns), crab (diagonal movement), and two-wheel (fuel efficiency)—the HW100A adapts to rough terrain and highways alike. Operators can choose from four work modes: one-way (precision tasks), two-way (synchronized digging), digging (heavy excavation), and lifting (material handling). Three power modes (Power, Standard, Economy) further optimize performance and fuel use.
Operator-Focused Design
The cab includes a heated air-suspension seat, 8-inch touchscreen, and full-length glass door for visibility. Safety features like rearview cameras, LED lights, and optional AAVM (all-around view monitoring) enhance job site awareness.
Customizable Configurations
Standard equipment includes a two-piece boom, rear dozer blade, and quick-coupler hydraulics. Optional outriggers or front dozer blades add stability for lifting or grading. The machine also offers five years of Hyundai’s Hi MATE telematics for remote diagnostics.
Availability
The HW100A will reach dealers in Q2 2025. Until then, contractors can view the larger HW210A at World of Asphalt 2025 (March 25–27, St. Louis).
“The HW100A balances compactness with productivity, offering contractors a single machine for multiple tasks,” said Julio Vargas, product manager. “Its customization and safety tech make it a standout for infrastructure and municipal projects.”
With infrastructure investments rising, the HW100A positions Hyundai to compete in the growing niche of versatile, road-ready excavators.
